白馬寺十八羅漢像

中國

位於河南省洛陽市白馬寺大雄殿。原係元大都(今北京市)大能仁寺的遺存,明代(1368~1644)移入北京故宮博物院,後藏於慈寧宮,一九七三年,為迎接柬埔寨西哈努克王(Norodom Sihanouk,1941~1955、1993~2004在位)移至該寺。十八羅漢位於殿內東西兩側壁,皆為夾紵造,高度約155~161公分,重量僅3~5公斤,東側以降龍羅漢為首,西側以伏虎羅漢為首。
 羅漢均取坐姿,有結跏趺坐、倚坐、交腳坐或舒相坐;手或合掌,或持拂、捧鉢、扶杖、托山、握筆等。身著袈裟,袈裟紋飾豐富,描繪精細。形貌各具特色,或張囗怒目,勇猛威武;或眉目清秀,溫文儒雅;或笑容可掬,親切和藹。
 迦諾迦跋釐惰闍羅漢雙手合十,眼神專注,神態虔誠,祥雲自指端飄出,上有一坐佛。俗稱獅子羅漢者膚色赭紅,螺狀鬚眉,雙耳掛環,輪廓深邃,展眉微笑,梵僧相貌,身著右衽廣袖漢式袈裟,雙手抱獅於胸,神態慈悲祥和。俗稱降龍羅漢者神態威猛,蹙眉張口,右手上舉,右腿抬起,身軀側轉挺直,突顯強大的力度和動態。俗稱香山羅漢者眉清目秀,為一年輕僧人形象,手托香山,內著長袍,外披袈裟,衣紋轉折飄灑利落。
 該寺十八羅漢為中國僅存保留完整的元代(1271~1368)夾紵羅漢群像組,色彩鮮豔,為宋代(960~1279)世俗化風格的延續,技巧精湛,具極高的歷史及藝術價值,是該寺的鎮寺之寶。
