此佛像呈現李查維王朝（Licchavi，約300～879）的尼泊爾式風格，該時期深受印度笈多王朝（約320～550）藝術影響。面作卵形，臉頰圓潤。高髮際線，螺髮凸起，肉髻低圓。濃眉大眼，雙唇微啟，鼻部已毀損。厚肩寬胸雖顯碩大，但無肌肉結實感。厚重的身軀和表情溫和的圓臉，露出平靜與沉著。
佛著通肩袈裟，薄衣貼體，腿部刻劃縱向波浪衣紋。結跏趺坐於方形台座上，露出豐潤的雙足。右手施無畏印，左手置於膝上，掌心向上作與願印。台座邊緣有交替的方、圓圖形裝飾；底部中央雕刻兩隻羚羊仰頭向上，似聆聽佛陀開示；兩端以側面手法表現鬃毛厚重、體格雄健的坐獅。
