The Bodhisattva wears an ornate crown as well as a high topknot with a jeweled finial. The figure’s long earlobes stretch to the shoulders and the neck has three lines. The bare upper body is wrapped with a deerskin while ornaments decorate the chest and arms. The figure sits on a lotus throne in the relaxation posture. The Bodhisattva’s holds a spear and some prayer beads in the two upper hands, while the two lower hands hold a long-stemmed lotus. The mandorla behind the figure is presented in a succession of rings, beginning with a jewel pattern and succeeded by a rainbow with a flaming rim.
