This statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva was discovered in 1978 in the top section of Qianxun pagoda. The figure wears a jeweled headdress and a large amount of jewelry, the most notable being the long beaded necklace that reaches past the knees. The Bodhisattva wears a long robe and a stole is draped over the arms and flows down to form two distinct U-shapes. The Bodhisattva holds a willow branch in one hand and a lotus-shape water container in the other. The openwork nimbus has ornate flames framing the edges.
