此經為高麗時期（918～1392）典型佛教寫經，經摺裝。卷首圖繪西方淨土世界，占二摺頁。全用金泥以鐵線描繪於瓷青紙上，周圍以金剛杵和法輪作為框飾。圖右為阿彌陀佛說法場面，佛座前兩側為觀音和大勢至菩薩坐像，佛身光兩側還有諸菩薩及弟子眾侍立。圖左描繪二菩薩接引亡者往生極樂世界的情景。畫面布滿細密的描金線條，色彩光豔，為高麗時期佛教藝術達到高峰之罕見存世作品。
