現存高麗時期（918～1392）佛教繪畫較少，大部分被日本收藏。此幅為極少數藏於德國的高麗繪畫之一，屬十四世紀作品。
圖中央為地藏菩薩舒相坐於蓮座上。戴頭巾，面相豐滿，雙眼細長。身著裝飾精巧的僧袍、袈裟，內著僧祇支，瓔珞嚴身。右手托寶珠，左手撫膝。地藏左膝前為僧人道明，右膝前為無毒鬼王，著文官服。畫中尚有二菩薩、四天王、地獄十王及二判官使者。圖左下方之判官使者手握卷冊，躬身向前，是畫面人物中唯一呈現動態者。地藏正前方有一隻金毛獅子，側身蹲坐，回首張口。
畫中人物形象大小不一，主次分明，性格特徵鮮明。服飾描繪精美，紅、綠色彩調和，顯示作者出色的繪畫技巧。
