約製於日本十四世紀，原置於木漆盒內。華蓋，又稱天蓋、寶蓋、花蓋。印度、西域等地，氣候炙熱，人多持傘以遮陽，傘上以花朵裝飾。後世多作為佛教莊嚴供具，懸掛於殿堂內佛菩薩像上方天花處。
華蓋為木雕彩繪，呈八瓣蓮花形。內部三重圓輪，由內而外，中心圓輪為單葉蓮瓣之蓮花，第二重飾連續雲紋一圈，第三重描繪卷草花卉，並圈飾聯珠紋。圓輪外緣作八朵雲紋，內布滿卷草紋樣，並繫水晶垂鏈，周緣以銅鑲邊。
