作品為《般若經》寫經插圖。此貝葉經可能源自印度西孟加拉邦（West Bengal）或孟加拉國，為波羅王朝（Pala，約8～12世紀）遺珍，共一百七十五頁，每頁高2公分，長41.5公分，其中十二頁附插圖。
佛母立於拱形龕內，三目四臂，赤紅身相，金黃色逆髮，眼大臉圓。寶冠、瓔珞、鐲釧等首飾，均以白色點描而成，表示骷髏鬘。寬肩纖腰，下繫虎皮。四手分持弓、箭、勾及●（上四+下絹）索，右腳曲膝提起，呈舞立姿，左腳踏一魔，代表降伏煩惱。背光散發豔紅烈焰，金黃色龕楣描繪別致的圖紋，龕外布滿花草紋。邊框以聯珠、方格為飾。整體線條微細流暢，色彩明麗。
