Mirror with Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva

日本十二世紀作品。原為佛寺大殿掛佛，以繩索懸掛於殿內梁柱上，作為禮拜用，並採用金屬製品裝飾，使大殿內光彩明亮，有莊嚴壇場之意。
鏡作圓形，低卷緣，菩薩、蓮瓣分片錘鍱成型，再用鉚釘拴在青銅板上。原為磨光表面，經由長期使用，面呈藍綠色鏽。頂端兩側飾獅面圖像，上設環扣，以便懸掛。
鏡中央為觀世音菩薩坐像，髮梳高髻，戴寶冠，彎眉細目，神態慈祥，蘊含莊嚴沉著的氣度。半跏趺坐於重瓣蓮座上，蓮瓣豐厚碩美，葉脈紋路清晰可見。左手結說法印，右手施與願印。身後帶圓形頭光及身光，外緣飾以火焰紋。整體造型精緻典雅，類似日本北部岩手中尊寺的金屬藝術作品。
