拉察席他拉姆寺佛傳圖之三弦琴喻

位於拉察席他拉姆寺（Wat Rajasittharam）戒堂內。描繪悉達多太子於苦行林中修行多年，因斷食而衰弱無力，帝釋天遂下凡點化太子，以琴弦之過鬆、過緊和適中，寓意修行應擇中道。
圖中央悉達多太子右脇臥於岩台上，帝釋天於旁抱琴彈奏，前方五比丘正相互議論，右下角和左上角樹椏間有許多苦行者。在泰國一般佛傳圖中，太子多為貴族形象，此圖卻描繪太子頂戴火焰紋，後有紅色舉身光，呈現成佛之相。
畫面人物突出，主題鮮明。背景山林占很大面積，自然景物描繪精緻細膩，結合寫實性與理想化手法，營造了自然環境安詳的氛圍，有力地烘托了畫面的主題。
琴弦喻亦見《雜阿含經》，經文記載佛陀之弟子二十億耳尊者，精勤修習，然不能盡除諸漏，乃還俗返家。佛陀遂問尊者，在家習琴，琴弦若急若緩，琴聲如何？二十億耳尊者始悟修行應中道，最後證得阿羅漢果。
