Miidera Temple: Lantern

燈籠為安置燈火之籠狀器具，吊燈籠則為垂掛於寺院堂內或檐下，本為僧房照明器，後轉為佛前供具。此燈籠為銅板組合成型，鍛造，通體鎏金，由蓋頂、燈罩及底座組成。
蓋頂呈半弧形，飾鏤空菊花紋，以便散煙。頂中央作寶珠形鈕，中間貫穿一環扣。外緣飾十二蓮瓣，瓣瓣向上卷起，並線刻三寶珠。
燈罩作六角形，板壁雕飾寶相花藤蔓紋、牡丹花紋等，其中一面開單扇門扉，扉上以雙鉤字體刻銘「慶長四年（1599）／三井唐院／五月吉日」。底座為外撇六尖足。整體施加鏨刻紋樣，反映桃山時代（1573～1615）的裝飾作風。
