印度比哈爾邦菩提伽耶（Bodh Gaya, Bihar）出土。原為寺院圍欄立柱的浮雕裝飾，表現舍衛城給孤獨長者以千萬黃金鋪地購買祇園為佛陀興建精舍的故事。畫面只出現三人，省略了其他情節和人物。
該浮雕採用一圖二景構圖，敘事概括、簡潔。右邊一男子扛一簍筐黃金，表現購買祇園；左邊二男子蹲坐地上，左手扶膝，右手以黃金鋪地。人物在刻劃時已略帶角度，有一定圓凸的立體感，動態自然。
菩提伽耶寺院的圍欄立柱，均是巽伽王朝（約187〜75 BCE）所建，浮雕裝飾較一般佛塔簡單，主題較單一化，同時風化的狀態也比其他佛塔來得嚴重，卻是印度藝術史上重要指標。這些圍欄立柱雕刻內容，因當時尚未有佛像的產生，僅以象徵手法呈現，如以象表示誕生、法輪代表說法、佛塔意指涅槃等。
