何信嚴
台灣新竹 繪畫
字俊卿。生於一九○三年，卒於一九四七年。佛畫師。臺灣新竹人。曾開設日新寫真館，擅繪卷軸佛像，專供道場法會儀式使用。所繪尊像輒作削肩形，線條精細，設色濃豔，多用靛藍，對比強烈，乃沿襲清代（1644～1911）宮廷華麗的富貴氣息，並融入臺灣民俗的流行取向，是臺灣一九三○年代的主流風格之一。
當時家庭、寺廟的佛像與十殿閻羅王地獄圖等多為畫師手繪，何信嚴的佛畫作品，名聞遐邇；其後因印刷技術的普及，手繪佛像逐漸沒落。傳世作品有三寶佛像、藥師佛像、文殊及普賢菩薩像、韋馱及伽藍像、十八羅漢像、四天王像及十王圖等。
