西藏醫藥有著悠久的歷史，為一門傳統的醫學，在世界醫學史上有其獨特的體系。
此幅唐卡以藥師佛坐像為主尊，藍色身相，左手置於腹前托藥鉢，周圍表現的是自八世紀吐蕃時期（7～9世紀）最傑出的醫學家宇陀雲丹貢布（g.yu thog yon tan mgon po）至十七世紀五世達賴間，藏醫體系中一脈傳承的三十餘位藏醫名人像。
