此幅唐卡推測繪於十八世紀晚期至十九世紀初期。主尊大威德金剛籠罩在一團橘紅的火焰之中，其面部造型精細，嘴角橘色鬍鬚細長，線描細膩，怒目圓瞪，唇口大開，尖牙利齒畢現。畫面上方正中為文殊菩薩，左為無量壽佛，右為印度高僧陳那。畫面下方畫大黑天和閻摩天。
整體造型孔武有力，紅色火焰紋背光採自然寫實的手法。此種以翠綠色為背景的唐卡，顯然是追隨十七世紀以來畫風的改變和明快的色調，因此這幅形象生動且罕見的大威德金剛畫像可能是出自西藏東部地區。
