此大型石造像頭部及左、右手的手肘以下均毀損。身軀壯碩，胸稍內收，腹部凸出。身著圓領袈裟，立於基座上。服飾表面平整，袈裟正面以減地平鈒線刻方式呈現，雕滿天宮、人界及地獄等場景，應為法界人中像。其正面下方淺刻觀音救七難圖，其下搭配有地獄圖。
整體造像形制是圓雕和線刻融合的手法，為中國佛教造像所具有的獨特風格。隋代（581～618）造像仍受前朝北周（557～581）影響，但風格趨多樣化，且大型造像增多，成為隋代佛教造像特色之一。
