此像原為佛塔浮雕之局部。中間為一拱形龕門，兩側有力士托舉的透雕龍形石柱，柱頭刻蹲獅，龕門內方門上方正中作一獸頭，門兩側分置小蹲獅。外側站立的二天王，怒目圓睜，神態栩栩如生。龕門上方對稱分置盤龍與飛天，相互交錯環繞飛舞，動感十足。
其造型綜合運用了高浮雕、透空圓雕和線刻等多種手法，雕刻精美，氣勢恢弘，是唐代（618～907）雕刻的精品。
