十六國時期（303～439）的佛教造像以單體圓雕居多，且形式規範頗為一致。該像高肉髻，呈水波紋，面相方圓，彎眉杏形眼，闊鼻厚唇。通肩大衣胸部以下呈「U」形衣紋。雙手作禪定印，趺坐於方形台座。座下兩側為護法獅子，中間是蓮花和二尊小型供養菩薩像。
佛眼大而橫長、鼻翼寬厚等五官特徵，乃漢地人物特點；衣紋及構圖形式等，則可見犍陀羅遺風。整體造像展現了佛教藝術由印度向東逐步發展的影響。
