佛高肉髻，髮紋呈平行橫條狀，前額髮中分，鼻翼豐滿寬厚，嘴角微揚。著通肩袈裟，衣紋規整，雙手結禪定印，掌心朝內，上身略微前傾，結跏趺坐。台座上陰刻波紋圖案。
該像與同藏於舊金山亞洲藝術博物館的後趙建武四年（338）佛坐像為同時期作品。此類造像說明佛像藝術初傳中國時所流行的典型範例。
