玉白瓷彌勒像 林睦殿

中國一般寺廟供奉之笑口常開尊像，為五代（907～960）時之契此和尚，世傳為彌勒菩薩之應化身。常以杖荷一布袋，見物則乞，故人稱布袋和尚。
此彌勒像表現的就是布袋和尚。彌勒面目和藹可親，張口而笑。頸掛佛珠，袒胸露腹，席地而坐。右手托寶珠，左臂斜倚在袋上支撐重心。造型與一般的彌勒像頗為不同，整體形象親切生動。材質採用玉白瓷，光潔無瑕，透出晶瑩的亮澤和半透明感，接近玉質的效果。
