達摩深目高鼻，戴耳環，多髯。袒上身，騎於牛背之上，目視遠方，神色堅毅。牛造型樸實、健壯有力，雖低頭卻隱隱透出堅毅和倔強，牛背高鼓，顯現出雄健的氣勢。
作品結合無光黑釉與色釉點彩，色調沉著，造型圓潤飽滿，特別是牛背的曲線和人物服飾的衣紋線條十分流暢。
