此作選取行走的造型，表現佛陀慈悲護生的形象。佛雙目下視，長耳垂肩，面色平和中露出一絲微笑。著袒右袈裟，右手下垂，左手施無畏印，代表能施與一切眾生無畏。瘦骨嶙峋的身軀，體現出釋迦牟尼佛修行的決心。
通體施灰黃釉，用色採大塊面的明暗和純度對比，達到和諧統一的效果。衣紋處理較簡潔，襯托出刻劃精細的五官和軀體。
