青白瓷釋迦牟尼佛坐像 周明
廣東省潮州市羊皮崗出土
一九二二年廣東省潮州市羊皮崗出土。佛面相方圓，耳垂及肩，內著僧祇支，外披袈裟，結跏趺坐，懸裳覆於方形座前。肉髻、眉目及鬢鬚皆施釉下黑彩，餘為隱隱泛青之白色。方座正面刻有題記「潮州水東／中窯甲／弟子劉」，得知製於北宋熙寧元年（1068），功德主為劉氏夫婦。
潮州窯位於廣東省潮安縣，潮安於宋代（960～1279）屬潮州，故稱潮州窯。一九二二年該地區曾出土四件瓷塑佛像，根據基座上的銘文可知作於北宋治平四年（1067）至熙寧二年間。基座銘文皆註明出自「潮州水東中窯甲」，乃匠人「周明」所作，是潮州窯的重要實物依據。此佛坐像即為其中一件。
