Qing Imperial Palace: Alms Bowl with the Seven Buddhas of the Past

玉七佛鉢

清宮舊藏。傳乾隆二十二年（1757）帝南巡至江蘇蘇州開元寺時，見寺所供佛鉢極為雅致，返都後命工匠以玉仿製而成。
白玉質，圓形鉢，高8公分，直徑14.5公分。器形平口，腹深廣，外壁浮雕七尊坐佛，分別為毗婆尸佛、尸棄佛、毗舍浮佛、拘留孫佛、拘那含牟尼佛、迦葉佛和釋迦牟尼佛等過去七佛。佛造型相同，均有圓形頭光。螺髮、肉髻低平，面龐渾圓，眉心有白毫，五官雕刻概括，神情安詳。身著寬大袈裟，肩覆披肩，衣紋舒展流暢。雙手置於腹前結禪定印，趺坐於束腰仰覆蓮座上，雙腿隱於袈裟之中。
七佛之間飾波浪紋，象徵海水相連。鉢底鐫刻旋卷浪花，形似一線條優美的蓮花。此玉鉢用料精良，雕刻技藝精湛，美觀大方。
