龍女受經事見《妙法蓮華經》卷四〈提婆達多品〉。經典中提及龍女智慧利根，超乎常人，聞佛宣說此經殊勝妙義後，即身成佛。
畫面左側長眉羅漢雙手合掌，倚坐於高背椅上，似開示佛法；侍者隱於椅背後，傾聽對話。中央龍女面帶微笑，虔誠跪接尊者贈與之經冊。身著長曳及地的衣衫，襞褶繁複，生動流暢。隨侍二人，一人執孔雀翎掌扇，一人雙手捧如意，神情歡愉。
全幅採平針繡法，褐色線勾勒輪廓。長眉尊者、龍女和侍女的青絲，均設色後再繡紋理，扇及跪墊亦先敷彩後繡花紋，座椅則是繡後輔以色筆描繪。幅中央上方，以藍線繡「龍女受經」隸書四字。
此作針法精密，質感細緻，用色明亮，題材亦屬少見。
