Nanjing Wu Tomb: Vessel with Seated Buddhas

青瓷佛像繪塑罐
江蘇省南京市三國吳末年墓葬出土
一九八三年江蘇省南京市三國吳（222～280）末年墓葬出土，是現今發現最早的釉下彩繪瓷器。
罐附蓋，圓腹，平底，肩部鼓起。內胎白中帶灰，外施青釉，高32.1公分，口徑12.6公分，腹徑31.2公分，底徑13.6公分。蓋頂堆塑鳥形鈕，罐肩上貼塑兩尊佛像、四個鋪首、兩個鳥形繫。佛像帶圓形頭光，肉髻高聳，面部較為模糊。身著通肩袈裟，雙手於腹前結禪定印。兩旁有雙獅護法，形體較小，造型簡潔樸實。罐身通體繪雲氣紋，其間錯列持節羽人、異獸等圖案。
罐為彩繪和堆塑結合，裝飾層次分明而具有整體感。將佛像與中國傳統的羽人昇仙圖像雜揉一處，反映佛教初傳中國當時民眾的信仰狀況。
