甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。觀音面容豐潤，蓄小髭，頭戴化佛寶冠，瓔珞嚴身，腰身稍向右扭，長髮自然垂下，髮梢在手肘旁微微上卷。右手拈柳枝，枝葉的線條處理成美麗的弧形；左手提淨瓶，瓶口伸出彎曲的長莖蓮花，莖上長出變化豐富的對葉。
根據殘存的顏色推斷，觀音外披紫色帔帛，內裡為綠色，左臂上的帔帛一端自然懸落，另一端則垂搭於右臂上。圖右下角另有二位跪地持蓮的供養人，髮型、衣飾簡素樸實；左上角有長方形榜題。
此圖從供養人簡樸的髮型，可判斷屬九世紀初至中葉之作品。雖然顏色多已剝落、下方大部殘損，卻不失極為出色的作品。
