甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。八世紀作品。幡的正反二面皆畫日曜菩薩，面相及姿勢稍有不同。整體保存狀況極佳，幡頭及下端仍保留著出土前的修補痕跡。
正反兩面的菩薩均面相豐滿，彎眉細目，小鼻櫻唇，雙手捧日輪，跣足立於出水蓮台上。長方形榜題書有「日曜菩薩」四字。畫師以白線描繪菩薩，以紅線描繪唇和鳥，頭飾、耳環、臂釧及衣服上的花紋則以黃線畫出。此作品在敦煌眾多絹畫中獨樹一格，別具特色。
