水月觀音菩薩像
甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土
甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。觀音頭戴化佛寶冠，身飾臂釧、腕釧、瓔珞。右手持楊柳枝，左手托淨瓶；左腳踏蓮，右腿盤屈，坐於岩石上，背後的巨大月輪光明亮潔，身旁竹林圍繞，神情靜定自在。觀音的姿勢、蓮葉及竹叢中竹筍的畫法、構圖，與現藏於法國吉美國立亞洲藝術博物館的五代後晉天福八年（943）千手千眼觀音菩薩像下方的水月觀音大致雷同，然本圖中描繪月輪及岩岸的墨線較粗。
圖左上方有一男子帶著二侍女乘雲飛來，可能是祈求超度的亡魂。圖下方供桌上放置供品、香爐及法器，著官服的供養人燃香走向供桌前準備上香。供養人前方、月輪旁及圖最上方華蓋兩邊，均有榜題。依供養人服裝可知此圖繪製於十世紀中葉。
