甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。繪製於九世紀。這幅畫幡描繪的是悉達多太子為求道而出宮，其父淨飯王下令家臣尋找的景況。故事情節由下而上發展，分成四個場景。
畫面最下方畫六角亭及設有圍欄的庭園，園內有蓮池，池旁植有竹子；庭園外樂師演奏，代表宮中娛樂。畫面不見太子，應已出宮求道。第二、三、四個場景，分別為淨飯王得知太子出走而下令四處尋找、使者乘馬急馳尋找太子、使者苦無所獲最後回宮稟報情況。
三角形幡頭繪有美好的山川及屋舍，外層斜邊飾以褐色絹。此幡白色顏料部分多已脫落，其餘保存良好。作品正反兩面均有題字，可能是「界福質」三字。
