該像為犍陀羅灰泥敷彩佛像，僅存頭部，帶頭光，雙眼微啟，眼珠以墨色點繪。嘴角略微上揚，露出慈祥的微笑。大耳，波狀卷髮，半球形肉髻。佛頭光以土色為地，繪有橙、靛、紅三圈弦紋作邊，表現光暈。由材質及相貌特徵判斷，該像可能出自阿富汗哈達（Hadda）或巴基斯坦塔克西拉古城（Taxila）。
