Todaiji Temple: Waist Drum

日本十二世紀作品，現為日本重要文化財。以桐木製造，內部刳空，外部如轆轤般旋轉成圓形，通體彩繪。
鼓作圓面，直徑19.7公分，束腰處有七道凸弦紋，鼓身長40公分。兩鼓面均有八處鑿孔穿繩，鼓腰處再以多重線繩環繫，腰間有金銅製的小環扣以繫結。鼓身表面敷白堊為地，上施以群青、綠青、丹、朱等色彩，描繪對葉花紋、寶相花卷草紋等圖案。部分繩帶塗以黑漆，並貼飾金箔。鼓面及線繩為後來補作。
