金銅柄香爐

八世紀上香禮佛供器。由爐身、底座和長柄所組成。爐身、束腰、底座、飾板及獅子，皆鑄造後鉚釘、焊接而成。爐身呈圓筒形，淺腹，口沿寬平、折沿，鑲有一獅。腹下部略微外撇，下接菊花形底座。爐身與底座之間為金銅束腰。爐身一端與長柄連接，後部折轉下垂，連接處有飾板；末端飾一坐獅，蠟型鑄造，前肢蹬地，尾巴上翹，坐於覆蓮座上。二獅和爐身束腰處鎏金，乃屬當時的風潮。
柄香爐的形式成熟於中國北魏時期（386～534），現存遺物多為南北朝時代（386～589）晚期之作。佛教繪畫作品中，常可見手持柄香爐為前導的僧侶與在家信眾的行列。
