Monk Knocking on the Door in the Mountains

此為清代（1644～1911）揚州畫派畫家金農繪《人物山水圖冊》第十二開。圖冊共十二開，此為最末一開。繪一僧著灰色僧袍，左手揚起作叩門狀。畫面左側繪二樹挺立，枝葉繁茂。畫作中寓動於靜，意境深遠。
此圖物象簡潔，用線凝練簡括，水墨淋漓酣暢。寺門前雙樹不以線勾，物象全靠墨色暈染呈現，略染花青，色不礙墨，整個畫面充滿著淡淡的禪味。畫面左側題款「樹陰叩門門不應豈是／尋常粥飯僧今日重／來空手立看山昨失一／枝藤山僧叩門圖／昔耶居士並題」。
金農禪意頗濃的繪畫作品另可見於香林掃塔圖中。
