畫面題款「臣金廷標恭繪」，表明是應制繪畫，並有清乾隆皇帝（1735～1796在位）御題：「大澤深山宴坐平石童／子炷香各適其宜如意／在手非有非無意亦強／名如何為乎／丙戌（1766）仲秋御贊」。此作繪製時間不會早於乾隆題跋太多，應是清乾隆三十一年。著錄於《秘殿珠林三編》。
羅漢著紅色袒右袈裟，手拿如意，跣足坐於岩石上，背後是幽深巖洞，上有祥雲繚繞。羅漢旁有一童子低頭煨香。羅漢衣紋線條卷曲，畫法近似顫筆。臉部渲染細緻，具有富貴氣質，非深山中苦修的形象；畫中吉祥富貴的氛圍是清代（1644～1911）宮廷繪畫的特殊品味。
