千手觀音菩薩圖 華喦

觀音面相長圓，彎眉細目，嘴唇小巧，頭髮梳至腦後垂下，髮極長，宛若飄帶於蓮座、雲端間飛舞。內著紅色貼體上衣，外披深藍色僧坎，白色長裙顯得清麗飄逸。此像具有千手千眼觀音的特徵，眉間長一眼，九雙手臂或於頭頂托結跏趺坐佛，或捧日月，或持各種法器等，其中向外伸出的一右手心間露出一眼。觀音下端有一紅衣童子跪地參拜，童子上方一縷青煙嫋嫋昇起，與雲端的觀音連接，加強了畫面之間的聯繫。
作品用線精謹工細，設色富麗秀雅，尤其是觀音的人性和超然特徵得到了很好的結合，顯示出該時期佛畫的特色。
世俗化是揚州畫派的一大特點，其中的代表性畫家華喦繪此千手千眼觀音亦具世俗女子特徵。
