十六羅漢圖

中國

畫面由右至左鋪展,起首處畫竹林,其後坡坨、林木、岩穴處眾羅漢或閑坐,或交談,或讀經,或凝神佇立,或端坐賞梅,或禪坐,動作、神態各異,卷末在瀑布山石間結束。
 圖中人物用線簡潔灑脫,微施薄染,屬南宋(1127~1279)梁楷簡筆人物畫一路。山石用筆大膽隨意,橫塗縱抹,水氣淋漓,與簡筆人物的風格相得益彰。山石除提供人物活動情境、烘托人物性格的作用外,並將眾多人物安排在通景畫面中,具有保持畫面統一、整體的作用。
 此幅用筆、皴法上雖趨於簡逸豪放,然人物或山水,在總體的形制上卻較規整。人物面部刻劃較為細緻,山石、坡坨等的邊界線處理也很清爽,顯示作者筆墨收放自如。此圖無作者款印,卷後有翁嵩年題。
