該像為長崎觀音寺之主尊。像內藏有供養銘文、種子曼荼羅、木盒及銅鈴等物，從供養銘文「天曆三年（1330）」得知為高麗忠肅王十七年製，原屬忠清南道瑞山市浮石寺主尊。
菩薩寶冠已佚，頭綰高髻、梳理平整，髮垂兩肩，耳璫、瓔珞、手鐲具裝飾性。左胸僧祇支留有金製飾物，腹前結帶。右手舉至胸前，左手輕置膝上，皆作第一、三指相捻之手勢，乃高麗（918～1392）末期造像中常見的形式，應是當時最流行的作風。
整體結構上，頭部與雙手比例較大，膝部窄小且偏低。衣紋的處理較為生硬，膝前的襞褶予人未整理的印象。作品雖小，但五官圓滿，不失柔和之感。
