大寶積宮蓮花生祖師圖

位於正殿西壁。此圖以蓮花生大士為主尊。蓮花生於唐天寶六年(747)始傳密教於西藏,十一、二世紀時,後人依其入藏所傳之密咒及所遺伏藏修習傳承,演成一派,奉蓮花生為開祖。當時並無派名,自後弘期(10世紀末~19世紀)其他教派產生後,以其遵循前弘期舊譯之密咒,故相對於後弘期依據新譯經典之新派而言,稱之為寧瑪派。又因此派僧人戴紅帽,故別稱為紅教。
 圖中主尊帶頭光及身光,緣飾火焰,焰光熾盛。頂戴錐形寶冠,冠繒飄舉,臉形方圓,下頦飽滿。飾耳璫,瓔珞嚴身,帔帛繞臂飛揚,下裳層疊,繁複流暢,雙手交疊持金剛杵。結跏趺坐於蓮座上,座下由一須彌座承托。主尊兩側立二脇侍菩薩,各帶頭光,飾華冠,側身跣足而立。
 主尊四周圍繞佛、菩薩、紅教歷代祖師與百工神祇。菩薩皆著短衣,上身半袒,多注重表現身體的曲線和身姿的動感,體現出藏傳佛教造像的特點。百工神祇是人間百工之化現,或舞蹈,或彈奏樂器,或舂米,或織布,或持斧砍柴,或馴獸,或採桑。歷代祖師戴紅色法帽,穿紅色僧袍,體現其傳承法脈。
 此圖人物眾多,主次分明,畫工謹嚴,將人間百工交錯於歷代祖師之間,人物雖有相互聯繫,但構圖則採用了較於鬆散的形式。畫中織布、舂米、砍柴及舞蹈等形象,乃當時社會上各種人物的生動寫照。
