靜志寺塔基地宮壁畫

中國

一九六九年河北省保定市定州市靜志寺塔基地宮出土。塔已毀,僅存塔基地宮。靜志寺塔基地宮是用來瘞埋靜志寺自北魏(386~534)以來歷代廢塔密藏的舍利,封閉於北宋太平興國二年(977),據此推測壁畫應完成於此前不久。靜志寺塔基地宮二○○六年列為中國「全國重點文物保護單位」。
 壁畫繪於塔基地宮四壁,其中南壁券門東西兩側各繪一天王,皆呈坐姿,東側天王右手握劍,左手持寶塔,二腿彎間挾持兩鬼卒;西側天王右手握劍,左手托劍鋒,坐於一鬼卒脊背上,右足踩一鬼卒。
 東西兩壁分別繪梵天禮佛圖及帝釋天禮佛圖。東壁梵天為男相,作帝王裝束,在兩位侍女的扶持下緩緩前行,前方還有一位侍女托盤引導,並作側身回首狀。西壁帝釋天為女相,頭戴寶冠,身著廣袖長裙,右臂彎曲由一侍女牽扶,左手持羽扇。帝釋天身後和前方各有一侍女引導、相隨。北壁中央上方繪一靈牌,由蓮花座相托,兩側各繪五位弟子,作沉思哀痛狀,應表現佛涅槃後十大弟子舉哀的場景。畫面點綴數片黃葉,更添蕭瑟悲涼的氣氛。
 靜志寺塔基地宮壁畫作於北宋(960~1127)初年,畫中人物設色、用線雖在唐風的基礎上,顯露出宋代(960~1279)秀雅飄逸的新風,然東壁梵天的形象仍有唐代(618~907)帝王圖中的帝王風範,而西壁帝釋天及其他天女亦均身軀飽滿、面龐圓潤,透露出唐代仕女畫的風韻,由此可見唐代人物畫對後世的深遠影響。
