為四天王中鎮守北方之天王，有鎮守城郭之威德，信仰興於唐代（618～907），常作單尊造像受人尊崇。
此天王戴寶冠，上飾卷草紋，帶頭光，頭光內層為綠色。左手托寶塔，右手握棒，雙臂繞紅色帔帛，端坐於綠色白邊圓毯上，身後有綠、紅、藍色祥雲。天王面部施以暈染，形象逼真，作品以紅色為主要色調。
