此像為十五至十六世紀作品，乃金卡寺的鎮寺之寶。觀音十一面八臂，頭分五層，依傳統樣式自下向上排列為三、三、三、一、一面。主面眉目細長，直鼻秀唇，神情慈悲。配雙花大耳璫，身飾珠鍊瓔珞，鑲嵌名貴寶石。二主臂當胸，其餘六臂，左臂自上而下第一手原持蓮花，第二手原持弓，第三手持寶瓶；右臂自上而下第一手原持念珠，第二手持法輪已毀損，第三手施與願印，其中蓮花、弓和念珠已佚。
觀音菩薩袒上身，下著重層長裙，褶紋流暢自然，簡潔大方。帔帛繞臂而下於足側向上翻卷，是西藏佛教晚期造像的特點。頭光已佚，背光刻大卷雲紋。覆蓮台上端宛若蓮蕊，周緣鑲一圈聯珠紋。
