此像高髮髻，戴五葉寶冠，長髮垂肩。頭部向上仰望，略向左傾。眉毛高挑，雙目細長，略帶微笑。袒上身，戴耳璫、項圈，飾聯珠紋臂釧、腕釧，雙肩帔帛飄逸，繞臂飄垂於兩側，下身著雙層裙，腰間繫帶，上淺刻幾何紋樣。雙手作印，右手拇指與中指相捻，置於胸前；左手拇指與食指相捻，側舉於身側。雙腿盤屈，呈遊戲坐姿，神情端莊閑靜，身姿優雅自在。
覆蓮座上緣三圈聯珠整齊規則，蓮瓣如水珠。蓮座上緣中間鑄銘文「大清乾隆年（1736～1795）敬造」，下緣刻「福自在母」字樣。據造像銘文，得知此福自在母原屬清朝（1644～1911）皇室造像，係六品佛樓中的組像之一。
