曼荼羅呈圓形，銅質鎏金，高150公分，徑300公分。底座周壁飾紋樣，上立「亞」字形殿基及宮殿。曼荼羅最外圍為八大寒林輪，內有高低灌木、各類鳥獸等。其次為火焰輪、金剛杵輪等。中央為宮殿，依四方位設有四門，各門階梯前方置三股金剛杵，屋檐、門楣、壁面皆鑲嵌綠松石及各色寶石。殿頂四周旗幡飛揚、華蓋林立。頂有四層圓形座，上為金檐攢尖頂，檐角立有瑞獸。
此曼荼羅在七世達賴時期建造，工藝精巧，氣勢宏偉，富麗堂皇。
