Mogao Cave 17: Dhrtarastra Heavenly King
持國天王像
甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土
甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。此為兩件相互對稱的畫幡，畫稿互為反轉，唯設色有所區別。根據天王手持弓、箭判斷，得知為東方持國天王像。
天王頭光上方皆有紫色靈芝形雲氣，頭戴金鱗寶盔，面相飽滿圓潤，身著鱗片鎧甲，足踏地天，著繩鞋而非長靴。
帶綠色頭光的天王，所握的弓為淡紅色，此畫幡只存幡身，幡頭、幡足已不存，幡身上方有三層飾帶，飾帶下緣綴二金鈴。
另一幅天王的頭光為青色，其握弓是大紅色，幡頭至幡足皆保存完好，全幡高187.3公分，寬30.6公分。
兩件色彩鮮麗的畫幡皆繪製於九世紀。
