甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。九世紀作品。畫幡無幡頭及幡足，但色彩、畫面保留完好。上方繪花紋飾帶，下方有斜格紋飾帶，兩側有邊飾。
菩薩立姿，略側向右，雙手結定印於腹前，動態安詳、自然。面部豐腴，蓄髭鬚，雙眉細長，眉間點朱砂，雙眼俯視，唇微啟，神情莊嚴。頭戴綴有兩朵紅蓮及繒帶長垂的寶冠，胸前項圈、寶珠、瓔珞嚴身。斜披絡腋，帔巾上半團花紋樣是晚唐（846～907）開始流行的裝飾圖案。菩薩頂上的華蓋作立體的描繪，充分展現出裝飾的華麗。
此圖畫工精細，略施暈染，為敦煌絹畫的經典作品之一。菩薩頸部省略了三道紋，不失為一大特色。
