Mogao Cave 17: Lotus-Born Children

甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。繪於九世紀。畫面上部已佚，從右上方僅存的黑色邊飾，得知是完整絹畫的一部分。圖中一株蓮莖，向上分枝，長長的莖蔓上層層蓮花盛開，蓮瓣用紅色暈染。六朵蓮花分兩層，各有童子立於花心，三人一組。再上一層最高的一朵蓮花上，單獨而立的童子殘存下半身。
下層童子手拉手，上層童子演奏樂器，表情都十分可愛，除一身全裸外，皆著兜肚及短靿的鞋，有唐代（618～907）童子的髮型。膚色略施白粉，衣著、蓮花紅綠相襯，示人以美好而和諧的情調。
