佛教的三世即指過去、現在、未來，而三世佛指的是燃燈佛、釋迦牟尼佛、彌勒佛。三世佛表示時間的無始無終，在時間的流動中，佛佛相生，更替不已。
造像組合中尊為釋迦牟尼佛，其左手於腹前持鉢，右手施觸地印，結跏趺坐。外著袒右袈裟，下著裙，裙腰較高，是清代（1644～1911）晚期造像的特點。圖左是燃燈佛，雙手結說法印，圖右是彌勒佛，雙手結轉法輪印，二者衣著、坐姿與釋迦牟尼佛相同。
此三尊造像是清代宮廷典型的作品，人物造型的特點是額部較平，面頰較豐滿，三角形鼻子，胸部整體隆起，肌肉起伏不明顯。蓮座蓮瓣整齊，瓣尖微挑。背光與蓮座鑲嵌大量珠寶，華麗的裝飾與樸素的佛像形成鮮明的對照。
