該像原位於日本三重縣久居市（今津市）南部舊桃園村，後移至寶樹寺。據背光之刻銘「正和三年（1314）甲八月廿九日造立之」，得知其製作年代。
菩薩結跏趺坐於三層石板堆疊成的束腰複瓣蓮座上，背光、軀體及蓮座由四塊石材接合，幾近圓雕刻成。像高89公分，身後背光上端缺損。頭光刻飾蓮花紋，以呈現立體感。身著通肩袈裟，右手握錫杖，左手持寶珠置於左膝上，神情端嚴。錫杖頭與袈裟衣褶刻劃簡約。
