釋迦出山像

又稱出山如來、出山相。據佛傳記載，釋迦出家後尋訪仙人，在雪山苦行林中苦修六年，日食一麻一麥，終於覺悟苦行非解脫之道，而斷然中止。此像描述的正是釋迦從山林間下來，踽踽獨行走向尼連禪河畔的情景。
釋迦螺髮，顴骨凸出，雙頰凹進，面容憔悴，耳垂鏤空，額頭正中有白毫相，眉目細長，眼瞼微開，鼻梁挺直，嘴唇閉闔，神情肅穆。身披大衣，衣一端垂搭於左臂，袒露前胸，浮出肋骨，筋脈呈露，頸部、手、足乾癟，拄杖而行，表現極度瘦弱之身軀。外表敷彩，衣紋簡潔，刀法利落，造型寫實逼真。
